New Single from Ingrid Mae – Poor Little Thing

Ingrid Mae has announced her highly anticipated new album set for release in March 2023 and fresh off her Itunes #3 Hit Country Song – “Country Queens”, Ingrid is releasing the next new single “Poor Little Thing”..

Ingrid Mae’s newest body of work marks her third studio album and it’s more than just a juicy morsel for those who have come to love the crowd favourite.

For a female producer who writes her own songs, records in her own studio and commands her own ideas; it’s not really that big of a deal to Mae. She’s driven to create.

“I’m always more excited by what I’m doing right now. The song I’m writing now. The big idea, the feeling of that moment. It got me thinking about the constant need for acceptance in the world we now live.  It’s something that really stifles what is unique.  That’s essentially what Poor Little Thing drives at. “

Long-time partner, drummer & co-producer “Rock Guy” encouraged Ingrid to take the reins on all production decisions and the result is in a word; sublime.

Poor Little Thing is an anthem for those who are not accepted. For those bold enough to do their own thing on the own terms. Lyrically it even mocks the listener saying “I’m out. Never let me in! I won’t be your poor little thing”. Mae’s vocal is reminiscent of Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge.

Poor Little Thing sets the scene for a beautifully written and produced album.

Mastered by Don Bartley, Vocals are definitely King (or should we say Queen?) with driving beats courtesy of Rock Guy and guitar crescendos right where you want them.
