INGRID MAE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “WAYSIDE”

New single “Wayside” marks the third single from Ingrid Mae’s upcoming album and shows a vulnerable side to the performer and songwriter.

Full of angst this tune begins with delicate guitars hinged on a trance-like train beat. It’s a melancholy that commands peace despite being drawn into a kind of mesmerizing chaos.

For a female producer who writes her own songs, records in her own studio and commands her own ideas; it’s a track that first hit the bottom drawer.

“I thought the song needed something…not more words, but a feeling. It sat lonely in that drawer until the thought came to me of doing an instrumental crescendo. The song really transcended as soon as the band played it.”

Long-time partner, drummer & co-producer “Rock Guy” encouraged Ingrid to take the reins on all production decisions and the result is in a word; sublime. The vocals and the drumming style are signature of these two partners in life and in music.

“Wayside” is an anthem for those who are exhausted by the daily grind. Ironically the line “Fallen into blue” has an almost captivating feeling; like there is some guilty pleasure in falling by the wayside.
