Lily Morris is pleased to announce the release of new single ‘Pretty Day’ out on Undine Records on Friday January 13, 2023

Her third single, ‘Pretty Day’, is a wry, yet hopeful meditation on self-criticism, spun through Lily’s trademark jangly guitars and keen observations of the every day.

Co-produced and mixed by Jonathan Corcoran at Park Hill Studios on Ngunnawal country and mastered by Dylan Young (Way Dynamic, Cool Sounds, Snowy Band) on Wurundjeri country the track features performances by Lily Morris (vocals and guitars), Dominic Gorman (drums) and TJ Salviejo (bass).

Lily writes jangly, lyric-driven songs between her hometown of Braidwood, NSW (Yuin country) and Melbourne (Wurundjeri country).

Her first single ‘Grand Illusions’ was picked up by Courtney Barnett as one of her Bandcamp Favourites. Barnett writes “I think she’s such a great, young songwriter…‘Grand Illusions’ is awesome.”

Lily’s second single, ‘Back and Forth’ (2022), earned her extensive community radio play, favourable reviews, full rotation on FBI Radio as well as FBI Radio Independent Artist of the Week.

Rounding out a year of energetic live performances solo or with her band, Lily played the sold out Milk Records!
10 year anniversary show at Oxford Arts Factory alongside Hachiku, Kee’ahn, Jess Ribiero and Courtney
Barnett. In previous years Lily has been billed with the likes of Quivers, Jess Locke and Hachiku).

Lily also featured as a special guest at Courtney Barnett’s Phoenix Central Park show in December 2022.
