The team of Braidwood FM undertook some much-needed training in Emergency Preparedness.
This training provided by The Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO) and facilitated by Martin Corben and covered;
- Understanding emergency broadcasting
- Planning for Emergency Broadcasts
- Understanding Emergency agencies and critical information
- Understanding how to prepare content before, during and after emergencies
It was a great way to see what we needed to do to prepare for future emergencies.
We also had a visit from Matthew Talbot of the SES and Tim Thisleton of Fire and Rescue to give us a talk on their interactions with Community radio.
