Rob Davidson / Founder, Vice President, Presenter and Treasurer

Rob is the founder of Braidwood FM and was its President and Station Manager from its inception
until he moved from Braidwood to Macksville on the mid-north coast in July 2015. There he spent 4
years on air on 2NVR Nambucca Valley Radio. He was a member of their committee during those 4
years, until he moved to Junee in September 2019, and commenced on air at TEM-FM Temora in
December 2019. Rob is still active with Braidwood FM and is on their Board in the position of
Treasurer, and he is also on the Committee of Nambucca Valley Radio as their Treasurer.

Rob had a dream (a vision) to bring radio to Braidwood, and after two and a half years of hard work raising capital, preparing submissions and reports to the ACMA, fighting to obtain a broadcast frequency for the region, and being a presenter on QBN-FM Queanbeyan for 2 years from 2001 to 2003 in order to learn and train others, the dream was realised when Braidwood FM began broadcasting on Australia Day, 26th January 2003.

On Australia Day, 26th January 2004, Rob was presented with an Australia Day Award by Tallaganda
Shire Council for “Cultural Achievement” for bringing community radio to Braidwood.

Rob has presented various programs over the years including “Flashback”; “Today’s Country”;
“Rock & Roll Is Here To Stay”; “Rock & Roll Heaven” and “The Classic Album Show”.
“Flashback” commenced on air in 2006 and is still on air on Braidwood FM in 2020, as well as being
on air on 2NVR Nambucca Valley Radio and TEM-FM Temora. Each week Rob plays songs from the
60s to the 90s… the hits, the ‘B’ sides, and album tracks… and also features an artist or group and takes you through their career and music.
